A nostalgic journey back to the time of World War II when radio was essential, romance was challenged, and music sustained us.

The music of 1940s will fill the DownStage Banquet Room this Thursday night at 8 PM when Randy Lake, Tim Lake, Linda Pierce and Sue Stulberg take the stage. Also performing is Alan Stulberg on piano. Announcer for the evening is Don Pierce.

A night of Cabaret, Dessert and Drinks

The legendary era of WWII songs are brought back to life in a cabaret style performance.

They may have rationed meat, milk, canned goods, and gasoline, but there was no limit to the musical talent during World War II.

Morale-boosting sounds on the home front and "over there" were one of the Allies most potent weapons. WWII gave birth to many of the 1940's most popular artists and songs, as well as many of the most important independent record labels. Some of the hits that kept the home fires burning and brought a little bit of America to the G.I's overseas are "I've Got a Gal in Kalamazoo", "That Old Black Magic", "Chattanooga Choo Choo", "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy", "Blues in the Night" and "Gonna Take a Sentimental Journey".

These are just a small sampling of songs being performed this exciting evening.

Refreshments include a dessert menu and drinks including specialty coffees, wine, beer and soft drinks.
