Join us on March 27th for this unplugged performance as these college groups sing, sing, sing their way to your hearts.

The fabulous acoustics of the Franke Center will complement the excellent vocals that will entertain us with classic a cappella arrangements featuring two rival universities, the Michigan State University all-male group; The Dischords, the University of Michigan; Dicks and Jane’s, and joining the duo is the University of Illinois all-girl group; The Girls Next Door. Marshall High School Singers:

Marshall High School Choirs are directed by Dr. Laura Gilbertson, who has served as Director of High School Choral Activities for the Marshall Public Schools since 2008. Dr. Gilbertson completed her Bachelors degree in Music Education at Shorter College in Georgia, then earned her Masters in Music and Doctorate in Music Arts from the University of South Carolina Columbia.

Worth Noting:

Worth Noting was formed in October 2009 when Dr. Laura Gilbertson allowed Gabe, Eric, Chance, and Matt to perform a song for the high school choir's Pops Concert. After receiving numerous compliments, the boys decided to continue working as a group, at the time nameless. It was not until November that Gabe was trying to think of group names when a friend suggested Worth Noting. The name stuck. Since then Worth Noting has performed at the high school's Winter Concert and at benefits at the Old Maple Grove Church and the Franke Center. Worth Noting spends their free time working on and perfecting new songs. They hope you thoroughly enjoy the show and are eager to perform for you!"

Members: Gabe Aikins, Eric Frost, Chance Smith, and Matt Hazel
